Carpet Beetles are very small in size similar to the size of a Bed bug. Carpet beetle Larva is commonly thought to be Bed Bugs because of the areas they like to hide. Many time you will find Carpet Beetles around the baseboards, mattress or climbing up the walls. The larva stage is about 3/16th of an inch long and has little hairs protruding from its body all over. Many times you will find more than one in the same area. Carpet Beetles can also be found in areas around bird nests and dry grasses. They can damage wool clothing, fabrics and feed on hair particles around your baseboards.

The treatment of Carpet Beetles is done by treating the carpets, baseboards, crawlspaces under a home and the perimeter to stop them from coming in. If a home has a heavy infestation it may be necessary to do more than one application.
